These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern all cargo van rental agreements between you ("Renter") and CargoVanz ("we," "us," or "our"). By renting a vehicle from CargoVanz, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
Rental Agreement
Each rental is subject to a signed rental agreement at the time of vehicle pickup. These Terms apply to all rentals and supplement the individual rental agreement. In the event of a conflict, the signed rental agreement takes precedence.
Eligibility
- Renters must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid U.S. driver's license is required at the time of pickup.
- A standard non-commercial driver's license is sufficient for all vehicles in our fleet. No CDL is required.
Rental Periods and Rates
We offer daily, weekly, and monthly rental periods. Current rates are displayed on our pricing page. All rates are subject to applicable taxes and fees, which will be disclosed before you confirm your reservation.
Mileage Policy
Each rental period includes a mileage allowance:
- Daily rentals: 100 miles per day
- Weekly rentals: 375 miles per week
- Monthly rentals: 1,200 miles per month
Miles driven beyond the included allowance are billed at $0.49 per mile.
Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit of $500 is required at the time of vehicle pickup and must be placed on a credit card. Debit cards are not accepted for security deposits. The deposit is returned in full upon satisfactory return of the vehicle, provided there is no damage, missing fuel, or outstanding charges.
Insurance and Liability
The Renter is responsible for any damage to the vehicle during the rental period. CargoVanz offers the following insurance options:
- Collision Damage Waiver (CDW): available for $300 per month with a $2,500 deductible.
- Personal or commercial auto insurance: accepted with proof of coverage that extends to rental vehicles. Please bring your insurance documentation at pickup.
Vehicle Use
- Both commercial and personal use of our cargo vans is permitted.
- Subletting the vehicle or allowing unauthorized drivers is prohibited. Only the Renter listed on the rental agreement may operate the vehicle.
- The Renter must comply with all applicable traffic and transportation laws at all times.
- Geographic restrictions may apply. Please confirm any travel plans outside the greater Los Angeles area with our team before departure.
Return Policy
- Vehicles must be returned with a full fuel tank. A refueling fee will be charged if the tank is not full at return.
- Late returns are billed at the applicable daily rate for each additional day.
- Early returns from a weekly or monthly rental will be rebilled at the next applicable rate for the actual duration used.
Cancellation
Reservations may be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup may incur a cancellation fee. Contact us as early as possible if your plans change.
